Every tub states a maximum user height, and the Barrel models state a load limit too. The Pod range is rated to 2.00 m, Barrel 400 and Barrel Chill to 2.20 m and 170 kg, and Barrel Rigid to 2.30 m and 150 kg.

Buy above your measurements rather than at them. A rigid Barrel also gives more usable depth than an inflatable wall of the same stated height.

An insulated tub with ice costs less upfront but has a cost every session. A chiller costs more upfront and then runs on electricity alone, holding the water at 3°C on a thermostat with no preparation before you get in.

Two models ship with a chiller: Pod Chill at £300 and Barrel Chill at £500. Barrel Rigid carries dual chiller ports if you'd rather add a unit later.

Yes, on any firm and level surface. The thing to check first is load. A filled tub plus occupant can exceed 400 kg, so confirm what your floor, decking or balcony is rated to carry before you fill it.

Every model includes a drain hose and connector, so you can run the water to a drain, shower tray or the garden. Inflatable Pods then deflate, fold and go back into the storage bag. Barrels stay assembled or collapse down depending on the model.

No. It carries a risk of cold shock and cardiac events. Don't use one alone, keep sessions short, and get out immediately if you feel unwell, dizzy or short of breath.

It isn't suitable during pregnancy, or for people with heart conditions, high blood pressure or circulatory disorders, without speaking to a doctor first. Keep children and non-swimmers under direct supervision whenever a tub holds water, and empty it or fit the cover when it isn't in use.
